ELIGIBILITY
• Participants must be currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate students.
• All disciplines are welcome. No technical background is required.
• This is an in-person event. Participants must attend at Tech Flex, University Center
Complex, Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, New Jersey, on September 25, 2026.
There is no remote participation.
• Organizers, judges and mentors may not compete.
TEAMS
• Register individually or as a team. Solo registrants are paired into teams at check-in.
• There is no minimum or maximum team size. You may also compete alone.
• Each team names one team leader, who submits all materials on the team's behalf.
WHAT YOU MAY BUILD
• All work submitted must be created during the event. Publicly available libraries,
frameworks, APIs, models and datasets may be used, and should be credited in the submission.
• Use of AI tools is expected and encouraged — that is the point of the event.
• No confidential or proprietary company data is required or permitted. Build on public data.
• Teams retain ownership of what they create.
SUBMISSION
• Submissions are due by 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time on September 25, 2026, through this Devpost page.
• Late submissions are not accepted.
JUDGING
• Company judges score every submission on business value, feasibility, use of AI, and pitch
and story.
• Judges' decisions are final.
CODE OF CONDUCT
This event is a professional, welcoming environment for everyone. Harassment of any kind is not
tolerated — including offensive comments related to gender, gender identity or expression, age,
sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, nationality,
religion or technology choices; deliberate intimidation; stalking; unwanted photography or
recording; sustained disruption of talks or other events; inappropriate physical contact; and
unwelcome sexual attention.
Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. Anyone
violating these rules may be warned, or asked to leave the event without a refund of any kind,
at the organizers' discretion.
If you are harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concern,
contact an organizer immediately. Organizers are identified at check-in and can be reached at
jsun54@stevens.edu. Organizers will help participants contact campus security or local law
enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe
for the duration of the event.
This code of conduct applies to all event spaces, including talks, meals, sponsor areas and
online channels associated with the event.
PHOTOGRAPHY AND MEDIA
Photography and video recording take place at the event and may be used by Stevens Institute
of Technology and event partners in materials about the hackathon.
PRIZES
Prizes are to be announced. Where a prize is monetary, receipt may require completion of tax
paperwork; details will be confirmed before the event.
CHANGES
Organizers may update these rules before the event. Material changes will be posted here and
announced through the event's Devpost updates.
