THE CHALLENGE
The official challenge statement is published here before the event. Check back closer to
September 25.
DATA
You do not need any private or company-internal data. Public datasets are encouraged, and
should be credited in your submission. For reference, the example challenge described on the
event page uses Banking77, a public dataset of 13,000+ customer service queries across 77
banking intents: https://huggingface.co/datasets/PolyAI/banking77
AI TOOLS
Any AI tools you like. Bring your own accounts and have them working before you arrive —
9:30 a.m. is not the time to be resetting a password.
ON THE DAY
• Check-in opens at 8:00 a.m. Breakfast and lunch are provided.
• Bring your laptop and charger.
• An information desk is staffed from 9:30 a.m. onward for questions, Wi-Fi and power.
• Mentors are on site 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. Come to them with a
specific question; that is where they are most useful.
WHAT MAKES A STRONG SUBMISSION
The judging rewards the idea and the argument as much as the artifact. Budget real time before
3:00 p.m. for the pitch: what the problem costs today, what your solution changes, who would
pay for it or adopt it, and what it would take to build for real.
